On August 29, 2024, the FFIEC published a statement announcing the sunset of their Cybersecurity Assessment Tool (CAT). The tool will be sunset on August 31, 2025. Read the FFIEC statement.
We understand this announcement may raise questions about the future of your cybersecurity self-assessment practices and Tandem Cybersecurity subscription. Here's what we can share so far.
We have been preparing for this announcement.
At KEYS 2024, we shared our vision for the future – a solution that goes beyond the FFIEC CAT, designed to help you manage multiple cybersecurity frameworks, such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and CISA's Cyber Performance Goals (CPGs), all from within your Tandem account.
Here's what this means for you.
- Continued Support: We will continue to fully support the current Tandem Cybersecurity product as the FFIEC phases out the CAT. (Please note, the NCUA has announced they will continue to support the Automated Cybersecurity Evaluation Toolbox (ACET) for credit unions. The ACET is based on the FFIEC CAT.)
- Exciting New Updates: We're hard at work updating our current tool to provide you with powerful new features. These updates will empower you to manage and comply with multiple frameworks, offering greater flexibility and insight into your cybersecurity posture.
- Stay in the Loop: We want you to be the first to know about our new developments. Updates to Tandem Cybersecurity Software are now available!
Thank you!
At Tandem, we are passionate about helping our clients navigate the challenges of cybersecurity compliance. We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for you. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Thank you for being such an important part of our community. We're excited about what's coming next and look forward to continuing to support your cybersecurity needs!
